Neptune Society is a premier, trusted provider of cremation services in the United States. For forty years, Neptune Society has specialized in direct cremation. We provide a dignified cremation at an affordable cost to allow families the flexibility of choosing cremation alone or having funeral or memorial services at a time of their choosing.
What is a Cremation Plan?
A cremation plan is a written document that defines your choice of cremation for your final needs. Whether you are choosing cremation as a green funeral option, for its low cost, or for its simplicity, it is important to define and announce your wish.
A cremation plan may be as simple as a handwritten, signed piece of paper shared with your family or as formal as an estate planning document filed with your attorney. A cremation plan should:
Clearly state your choice of cremation for final needs
Identify your choice of cremation service provider
State your wish for disposition of your cremated remains
Identify any advanced payment made for cremation services
You needn’t do it alone. We’re here to help.
Help With a Cremation Plan
Neptune Society’s experienced staff compassionately guides you through the cremation planning process and helps you develop a written plan. Once your wish for cremation has been defined, Neptune Society offers the option of paying in advance for services and eliminating that obligation from your family.
Prepaid Cremation. By paying for cremation in advance, we are able to offer you a discounted price for services — today’s cremation price rather than a future higher cost of cremation.
With a defined, prepaid cremation plan, final needs will be easily cared for. With one phone call at the time of need, Neptune Society takes responsibility for services, caring for you and your family with compassion and respect.

On behalf of our beloved Aunt Ann, we want to extend our deepest appreciation to you.
Your concern and helpfulness were extremely comforting to us as we endured the loss of our loved one. Additionally, you stood by all that you committed to doing to see us through this heartbreaking journey. Words cannot express our gratitude for the caring way in which you carried out Aunt Ann’s final wishes.
One last request – please share this note of thanks to your superior so that they can know how thankful we are to you.

My son suddenly passed away on May 15, 2019, and amidst the shock of the unexpected loss, we still had to plan a burial or cremation. Because my sons passing was so unexpected we had to try and remember what his wishes were in the event he should pass away. He did tell us he wanted to be cremated and so that’s what we set out to do. Olinger was the first one we contacted but an ensuing legal issue got in the way and Olinger wouldn’t budge, and a few others wouldn’t budge on this tiny legal matter that wasn’t even a big deal. Now, it seemed like we were out of options and didn’t know what to do. So we called Tom Martino’s radio show and he suggested we get a hold of The Neptune Society. As it turns out The Neptune Society should have been the first number we called. The staff at the Arvada office were wonderful from beginning to the end. The receptionist Robin Leonard is friendly and very helpful. Office manager Alejandro Ruiz was kind and helped explain some of the procedures of the paperwork. The one person who was amazing through this horrendous ordeal was funeral arranger Todd Putnam who proved you can have compassion and understanding while conducting business. He even made sure to remind us to get some sleep, eat and take care of ourselves. Todd explained everything to us from the paperwork to the cremation, so we knew what to expect from point A to point Z. Something I must say Todd told us the viewing would be only for a limited time but it was much much longer which allowed all his friends time to say goodbye. Todd didn’t have to do that and that’s something that touched our hearts and we will never forget that huge gesture of kindness. One last thing that must be mentioned and that’s the hard work and dedication of Jessica McFerrin, James Jackson Matt Van Deventer who prepare the bodies for viewing and cremation. These are the people behind the scene who don’t get the praise or recognition they deserve.

It is not a service you ever want to use, but life happens. I am very glad we bought our pre-need package several years ago. When my husband passed a few weeks ago the service from Neptune Society in general and Elijah Walker specifically exceeded my expectation. I was treated with kindness and respect and continually keep up to date on the status of my husbands’ cremation. I would and have recommended the Neptune Society to many friends.

I don’t recall who we dealt with but back in August of 2014 when my mom passed but the gentleman who helped my family through it was super helpful and caring. He told us he had never had clients as young as my sister and I. Anyways, I would strongly recommend the Neptune Society and their staff. They actually, care and let you work through it at your own pace and explain everything in detail without making it confusing or overwhelming. It may have been John Moody but it was a younger guy who helped us and was amazing at helping us through it. I wish I had written this year’s ago but know how much my family and I appreciate the help through that time.
