Cremation/ Funeral Merchandise and Services

We realize most people may not have much experience with planning a cremation, and may not know what merchandise, services and other elements might be included in a cremation purchase. To help you better understand this important purchase, you may want to familiarize yourself with this basic list of goods and services that our Funeral Home locations can provide.

Whether you need our services right away for a loved one who has just passed (AT NEED), or you’re pre planning your own Cremation service in advance (PRE NEED), we encourage you to learn more about the purchase you’re about to make. Definition of Terms

Funeral Goods and Services

Basic Services of the Funeral Director and Staff and Overhead.

This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of an itemized cremation or included in a package price of a cremation arrangement you select. Items in this category my include, personnel services, the arrangement conference, coordination services, clerical assistance and overhead expenses.

Preparation of the Body

Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a viewing. Items in this category may include embalming, bathing, dressing, cosmetizing, displaying or refrigeration.

Use of Facilities and Staff

Items in this category may include the use of our facility (when available) for visitations or funeral services and the services of our staff for visitations or funeral services at our location or another location.

Transportation

Items in this category may include the transfer or transport of the deceased from place of passing to a holding facility, refrigeration facility, processing facility and/or crematory.

Direct Cremation

Items in this category may include crematory charges, transportation, refrigeration, the cremation container and staff services.

Urns

We offer a great variety of urns for you and your family to choose from. Call or visit the Funeral Home for details on our selection.

Other

Items in this category include additional merchandise and services provide by our Funeral Home, many of which are not provided by other funeral homes. Items and services can be travel coverage, stationery products, multimedia tribute products, jewelry among others.
