I cannot express how thankful our family is to the Neptune Society. We lost our 93 year old beloved 'uncle' and just days before I contacted Laura Anderson at the Society. She provided all the information and forms - immediately, did not try to 'upsell' us on services and followed-thru until after we had scattered his ashes. She was wonderful in our hour of need. When my uncle passed away we contacted the Society, on a Saturday morning, so we were transferred to a central number where the details were collected discretely and the pickup was done very soon after. This was a great relief to us. The Captain of the boat that we used to scatter the ashes on was impressed by the beautiful 'autumn leaves' box that contained his ashes and the biodegradable inner container which simplified everything. We proudly displayed it at both of his memorial services. When the time comes, both my wife and I have chosen cremation, and we will have it handled by the Neptune Society of Minnesota.
I contacted Neptune when my boyfriend became ill with cancer. Throughout his last months I felt supported and cared for by the staff at Neptune. When he died, I went to meet with the funeral home director again and loved her. I told her stories about him and we laughed and I cried. Coco has stayed in touch with me to see how I am doing. I feel that the family members are very very important to her. I cannot recomend Neptune more highly. It is a place to have your loved one cared for and for you to be cared for too. How glad I am that Neptune was suggested to me. Thank you.
My Father contacted Neptune Society after a receiving a referral from a close friend. He and his wife selected the package of services they wanted and were very impressed. When my father passed away 10 days later, it fell to me to work with Neptune...enter Coco into my life at a time I needed her most! Her calm manner coupled with her knowledge and expertise kept our family on track during a very difficult time. She handled everything with professionalism, compassion and effciency. She was a rock for me, my sister and my step-mother. I recommend Neptune Society of Brentwood without hesitation. Thank you so much!
I had made arrangements to meet with a representative to pre-plan a family members cremation. Unfortunately she passed before we could meet but Neptune Society was there when I called in the wee hours of the morning. Working with Coco was a seamless process for me. After our initial visit Coco had everything completed in less than a week. She was extremely thorough and a kind spirit to work with. Strong recommendations for anyone in need of these services.
I was very pleased with all the help and understanding that I got from my contact person (Coco). I live in another state then my father who passed away in November 2012 (I live in SC). I never felt left out of what was going on with the process of my fathers care after his passing. It is hard reguardless where you are. I would recomend the Neptune Society to anyone that asks for great care and great help for the passing of any loved one.
My Husband and I are thrilled with the manner in which my mother's death/cremation was handled by the Neptune Society. She passed away one week ago today on Memorial Day in a personalized assisted living home. They contacted the Neptune Society, (1-800-number), and a funeral home was contacted to remove the body. We received a call from Tampa that night to let us know we would be contacted by a Neptune director the next day. We did, and made an appointment to meet that afternoon. All our questions were answered and the information was presented in such a way by Will, who himself is soft spoken and very personable, and he assured us everything would be taken care of: obtaining the death certificates, posting the obituary in 2 news-papers, calling to cancel her social security, calling the cemetery in NY and assuring us that her ashes would be sent to that address, are but a few of the things at Neptune Society that Will did for us. We live in a 55+ old community in N. Fort Myers, FL and have already begun telling our friends of the wonderful experience we had from the Neptune Society. Thank you Sue and Rich Symes
My father passed away on 3/14/2012 at Bayview Center, LLC (a nursing home) in downtown Eustis. I, as my father's then Durable Power of Attorney, saw to it that the Irrevocable Trust was pre-paid a year before the actual use of the service was required. Once my father passed away, Gil Carlson, Manager of the office at 17350 SE 109th Terrace Road, Summerfield, FL 34491, saw to it that my older sister (age 53 and almost 5 years my junior) and I had plenty of time to go spend time with his body, mourn and say our final good-byes before they came and picked up his remains -- a greatly appreciated gift to each of us. Between the attending doctor (who never came to see him in the hours leading up to or after his passing away) and the State of Florida's laws, our father's cremation was not completed until 3/24/2012 and then on Monday, 3/26/2012, when the Neptune Society had both our father's ashes ready and had finally received the certified copies of his death certificate from the State of Florida, Mr. Carlson called me to make an appointment at 4:00 pm that very afternoon, to come and pick up my father's remains. The Masonic memorial service was then able to be held at the pre-scheduled time of 1:00 pm on Wednesday, 3/28/2012. Gil Carlson was at all times comforting and respectful, not to mention exhibiting the highest professionalism throughout the difficult time we had to make it through. I'm sure that I speak for my other four siblings as well as myself in thanking Gil Carlson and the Neptune Society for all they did in our initial time of mourning. Our mourning may continue but it is in the selfish desire to have our father still with us, but then he had really not been present in our world through his Alzheimer's condition for almost a year leading to his demise. We pray that he is indeed in a better place and knows that we each love him in our own way. Thank you, Neptune Society -- through Gil Carlson -- for making these past two + weeks a little easier. The complete description of not only the detailed services provided, but how we obviously rated Mr. Carlson's and the Neptune Society's services as extremely superior, are related in the description paragraph written above. We highly recommend Gil Carlson and the Neptune Society in Summerfield to any and all who are in need of similar services. They are superb!
I pre-paid for cremation services for my wife and I. They were prompt, and their price was really reasonable. Their service is good. They have taken care of all of the arrangements.
Mom and Dad pre-arranged their cremation services with The Neptune Society. When Mom died last month, The Neptune Society took care of her remains with dignity and handled everything professionally. The pre-planning allowed us the opportunity to mourn our loss rather than spend our time negotiating with funeral directors, wondering what our Mom wanted for her services. I will probably arrange my cremation through the Neptune Society as well. My compliments to Marina M.!
Excellent service. Handled everything at our time of need. Took considerable stress off of the family.I would highly recommend Neptune Society to anyone interested in cremation. Could not be more pleased.
My dad died while vacationing in Florida. His sons live in Colorado and New York. Will Sparks and the Neptune Society were great. They worked with the hospital, the Medical Examiner, UPS and us to get my father's cremated remains and his valuables back to his family. Will communicated very well and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. The costs seemed very reasonable and none were hidden or came as a suprise later. I recommend them without hesitation.
I was introduced to the Neptune Society in the early 90's by my in-laws. They are both deceased now (my mother-in-law last Sept.). I was very pleased by the way the Neptune Society responded in both occasions. I am now a member and have recommended them to others who have asked for my opinion. The Neptune Society in Franklin, TN was great in taking care of my mother-in-law and answering any questions that I had.
I could not say enough wonderful things about the Neptune Society in Brentwood, TN. When we knew our son was going to pass away, we contacted Janet "Coco" Montgomery who handled all the details in a kind and compassionate manner. Everything was done for us and in the manner we chose. Coco was in constant contact with us during the entire time, and we knew that our son was in the best hands. We have been touched beyond measure by the thoughtfulness of your company, and most especially, Coco.. I have spoken to numerous people about our sterling experience, and in particular about Coco's exceptional service and kindness. I know in my heart that our son is in a better place because of Coco's role in helping him reach his final resting place on this earthly plain (a place he always loved). I have no suggestions for improvement of your services, because everything was beautifully handled. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
My husband and I purchased Neptune Society cremation packages about a year before my husband became a resident in a Care Center when Alzheimer disease took over his life. When he passed away, the Care Center sent his body to wrong cremation service. I got a phone call the morning after he died from them, and I immediately called Neptune. The very compassionate assistance from Neptune in recovering my husband's body and taking to their facility, helping me with the final details for disposition, really got me through this ordeal. I highly recommend Neptune Society and their services.
Approximately 1 year ago, my mother began to talk about the Neptune Society and the services that they offer. My first reaction was that she was still young (64), and that she had plenty of time to think about death at a later time. She then asked if I would also take a look into the Neptune Society and let her know if I felt that she should move forward with contacting them. I procrastinated a bit, but eventually completed my mothers request and told her that all of the reviews that I read were very positive. I indicated that I felt comfortable with her moving forward should she decide to, based upon the information that I found. My mother then called me about a week later, and told me that she had purchased a plan that would fulfill her wishes and would not place burden upon her children, should the time come. My mother received her information package from the Neptune Society in early October of 2012. January 5th 2013, I received a call that I will never forget. My brother called to tell me that something was wrong with mom and that the paramedics were working on her, and they were going to take her to the hospital. I jumped in my car and drove as quickly as I could to her home. Moments before getting there, I received another call telling me that my dear sweet mother had passed. As my brother and I embraced one another, I realized that I was now the person responsible for making arrangements. Remembering what my mother had done only a few months prior, I located the information package and simply called the 1-800 number located on her Neptune Society account card. Calling that number was the only thing I had to do to get things going. The Neptune Society is absolutely amazing and completely took care of everything. Though my mother was now gone, she too was still taking care of me. I highly recommend the Neptune Society and the services that they offer. I would have been completely lost without them. They allowed me time to grieve and not worry about all of the details.
The director Kellie was extremely kind, helpful, and professional during this tough time. Thank you again and again for all you're hero. She is a true professional.
With the future in mind, my partner and I enrolled in the Neptune Society, hoping we wouldn't have to use it for a long time. Unfortunately my partner died three months ago and I was so glad for all the care and assistance the neptune representative, Rosina LaPietra, gave at this very difficult time. My partner was a veteran and received a beautiful American flag plus a wooden urn also with a flag embossed on the top. paperwork and legalities were all handled, so that I had a major task taken care of with speed and dignity. I do recommend and will continue to recommend Neptune's services. When my time comes, I know I will be in good hands.
