Neptune Society of San Antonio Marks Men’s Health Week with Complimentary Men’s Health Breakfast

mens-health-monthSan Antonio, Texas – Neptune Society of San Antonio announces that it will host a free breakfast on June 17 in honor of Men’s Health Week. The breakfast will be held at Neptune Society’s office located at 8910 Bandera Road, Suite 301, from 9am to 11am.

Neptune Society invites all Neptune Society members and families of those Neptune Society has served as well as local hospice and health care workers, local business establishments, and the general public to join the Neptune Society’s San Antonio office team for a casual, free breakfast and to learn more about health issues common to men and boys. Starbucks coffee and muffins will be served; Neptune Society will be giving away goody bags with coffee mugs and other gifts.

Lori Adamson, Service Manager for the Neptune Society of San Antonio office stated, “In celebration of Men’s Health Week, Neptune Society would like to recognize the special men in our lives with a casual breakfast where men and those who care for them can gather information about some of the most important issues affecting men’s health.”

Neptune Society will have counselors available to provide information about Neptune’s immediate need and prearrangement cremation services. Packets containing information about heart disease, cancer, diabetes and other health conditions common to men will be available, in addition to wellness tips such as drugs to avoid, natural pain remedies, and recipes for health.

Adamson said, “At Neptune Society, we understand that men’s health is a family issue and we welcome anyone who wants to learn more about how to protect men’s health and help men lead healthier, more active lives.”

The breakfast is being provided as part of National Men’s Health Week from June 15 – 21. Men’s Health Week takes place each year during the week leading up to and including Father’s Day, and is part of a broader Men’s Health Month initiative in the month of June.

Men’s Health Week is an opportunity for health care workers, policy makers, media and individuals to heighten awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of diseases common to men and boys.
