Kellie Hoodiman

Services Manager

Kellie joined our Neptune family in 2012. She is a licensed funeral director, and has 38 years of funeral service experience. Her interest in funeral service was sparked as a teenager. She satisfied her curiosity by working after school and on weekends at a funeral home in a rural South Dakota town where she was born and raised. She fell in love with helping families, and serving the community, so in the early 80’s she ventured off to Florida for her Mortuary Science education. Kellie served in traditional funeral service for 29 years before joining Neptune Society. She gained management experience, and took a strong interest in the growing number of families choosing cremation. Kellie served 6 years as a board member of the Cremation Association of North America, and has been active in the community through her years in South Florida. Because of her dedication to families choosing cremation, in 2012, she was asked to join the Neptune family. She and her husband, David, have been married over 30 years. Their family of 5 children and 5 grandchildren is a blessing they don’t take for granted. They love and appreciate them every day.

Neptune Society Pompano Beach, FL - Toys for Tots Drive

For the past several years, our neighbors at the South Florida Transportation Authority have partnered with us in the Toys For Tots Drive. This year the Neptune Society Pompano Beach, FL office collected over 200 toys, games, stuffed animals, and even a bicycle! It is a beautiful program, and even the families we are serving made special trips back to the office to donate a gift for a little boy or girl who may otherwise get nothing for the holidays. The pictures depict overflowing love given from the hearts of many, and the U.S. Marines who tirelessly organize, process, and distribute thousands of gifts to children. This charity has put smiles on the faces of many children! Pictured from the RTA is Deputy Executive Director, C. Mike Oglesby and Director of Human Resources, Mary Jane Lear. Also, Kellie Hoodiman, Service Manager for Neptune Society, Pompano Beach, FL office, stands proudly with the Marines assisting and overseeing this massive project.
