Janice Clark Cairns (62) of Albuquerque, NM, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 19, 2021. She gained her angel wings after a long, brave battle with cancer. She will be truly missed in so many ways.
Janice was born in La Junta, CO to Helen and Willard Clark in 1958. She grew up on a horse ranch with her parents and two brothers with a strong work ethic that she carried with her through her life. She enjoyed horseback riding and was a member of the 4H club.
Janice graduated from La Junta High School in 1976. She was beautiful, kind, funny, talented, selfless, cool, smart, and tough all at the same time. She never met a stranger and was sincerely kind to everyone. Early on and throughout her life she distinguished herself as a hard worker.
She worked for the Santa Fe railroad for 10 years when she moved to Albuquerque NM in 1986. She joined Electro-Test, Inc as the Senior Business Administrator in 1995 and remained a devoted employee for more than 25 years. If there was one thing Janice was, that was determined…no matter what the challenge or request, she gave her all to ensure she exceeded all expectations whether for herself or others. Throughout her career, she formed many successful relationships and left a lasting impact on everyone she worked with.
Janice was a loving mother and incredible woman. The heart of the family with her sweet smile and infectious laugh. She was full of witty comebacks and probably the most sarcastic, funny person you’d ever meet. She loved spending time with her children, her friends and her cats. She was an avid cat lover, rescuing many cats and kittens and had a genuine heart for animals.
She is survived by daughter Amy Lambert, son William McGuill III, brother(s) Bruce (Vickie) Clark of Lexington, OK and Justin Clark of La Junta, CO.
We will miss Janice dearly, but we are so grateful for the time we had to spend with her. For us, she really is that pebble thrown into a lake as the lives she touched act as ripples that extend far beyond us. We will always feel her presence in our hearts.
No services will be held at this time and the family requests no flowers.
