
Harold Dwayne Newton, age 89, of Orland, California, was called home to be with the Lord. He was born on November 9, 1936, to Floyd and Lena Mae Newton.Harold was a general contractor by trade and a builder at heart. There was truly nothing he couldn’t fix or make. Whether working with his hands, improving a home, or helping someone in need, Harold took pride in doing things well and doing them right. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and was always making or fixing something. His skills, creativity, and willingness to help others were well known and deeply appreciated. More than anything else, Harold loved his family and his church family. His faith was central to his life and guided how he lived, worked, and loved. He was a steady presence, a hard worker, and a man who quietly served the Lord through his actions. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lena Mae Newton, and his brothers, Jim and Bill Newton.He is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Newton; his children, Kelly Vargas, Suzanne Bolen, and John Newton; his sisters, Maylene Claborn, Barbara Pierson, and Betty Young; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren, all of whom were a tremendous blessing in his life.Harold will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. His legacy lives on through the family he cherished, the many things he built with his hands, the lives he touched, and the faith he held dear. Harold's Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 14th, at 11:00AM at Truth Church, 3870 Morrow Lane in Chico, CA.
