

He had most recently been living at the Hope Preserve with his beloved cat Holly, where he loved playing cards, watching birds at his bird feeders outside, and being the designated driver taking folks on errands. John was extremely interested in genealogy having created a family tree with over 11k people going back many generations. Professionally, he was a navy veteran, retired from AT&T after 25 years, and was a volunteer firefighter with SSVFD for 10 years.
He is survived by his children, Scott Wolf and wife Angela Wolf, Kerry Grea Wolf and wife Kelly Wolf, Kelsie Rea Wolf-Swaney, and Cecilia Ward; his sister, Dianna Rea-Wolf Dix and husband David Dix; his grandchildren, Willow Wolf, Allison Musselman, Jared Wolf, Stephen Swaney, Sunny Rea Swaney, Nicolas Ortega Ward, David Ortega Ward, and Miguel Ortega Ward; as well as cousins ‘Sonny’ Marcellus Rea and Patricia Rea Swain.
He is predeceased by his wife Bonnie Wolf, sister Joan Wolf, uncle Mark Rea, and cousin Brena Rea McAdams.
John will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery with details to be announced later.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to Neptune Society, Fort Myers.
