Robert grew up in Tucson, Arizona, where he developed the strong values and warm spirit that would define his life. He was a loving family man and a loyal friend whose door was always open. He truly cherished time spent with those who came to visit, welcoming each person with wisdom, humor, and heartfelt conversation. He touched many lives with his steady encouragement and joyful presence.
Robert had a passion for being part of Mike Fry’s racing team, and he thoroughly enjoyed watching football and spending peaceful hours fishing. These simple pleasures brought him great happiness. Above all else, Robert loved Jesus and faithfully shared his faith with everyone he met. His life reflected the hope, kindness, and compassion that flowed from his deep relationship with Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Esther, and many cherished nieces and nephews who will carry forward his memory and the example he set.
A celebration of life will be held in Illinois at a later date.
