Arthur was born in Houston on February 4, 1971. He went to school at Lamar High School in Houston, Class of 1989, and went on to the University of Houston where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity -- GO COOGS! Soon after, he met the love of his life, Kristy, at Outback Steakhouse, and that remains their favorite restaurant to date.
They were married on a rainy day on October 11, 1997. Despite the rain, there was enough fire in their hearts to light the room.Together they started a family with three children - Connor, Arthur, and Megan. Coaching Connor and Arthur in baseball and watching Megan cheer brought him a tremendous amount of joy. Family time memories were made with vacations to the beach and gathering around the dinner table. Many affectionately called him Otter, Big A, or Artie but he enjoyed being called Dad the most.
Arthur was known for his love of the outdoors, old country music, golf, dove hunting, deep sea fishing, and watching the Astros. Gathering family and friends was a must for Arthur and all smelled the call of his grill. He loved to laugh and came up with the wittiest nicknames and one-liners. He was a creative and accomplished grill master and loved feeding us all. His ribs, steaks, sausages, and drunken chicken were the very best. He had a soft spot in his heart for dogs, especially his always present companion, Max. Arthur loved his piece of heaven at Talk Ranch and the many sunsets and memories created there.
He is preceded in death by his father J. Pleasants Doyle, and brother James Arthur Doyle. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kristy, and his children: Connor, Arthur, and Megan as well as his mother, Joan Doyle, and siblings – May Bentley (Bert), Pleas Doyle Jr. (Theresa), and Joanie De Ayala (Carlos) and the long list of nieces and nephews that called him Uncle Otter.
A visitation and Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 22nd beginning at 9am at The Brook Church in Tomball, TX.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.neptunesociety.com/location/houston-cremation for the Doyle family.
