

He was a Loyal Order of Moose brother, Member of Jacksonville Moose Lodge 455, Member of Seminole Moose Legion 81, and holder of the Fellowship Degree of Honor. He served as a Civil Defense Police Officer and was a committee member for many years with the Department of Defense Agency, the Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve.
Sherman also coached Little League baseball and was very proud of his sons’ athletic abilities. Sherman was a master carpenter who loved creating furniture, working with leather, and offering advice for your woodworking projects. And he cooked the best damn Bar B Q!
He is survived by his wife, Penelope (Penny) Justice, his sons, Sherman (Bo) Cornel Justice Jr., David (Renina) Justice, Christopher (Kaye) Justice, Mark Justice, & Michael Justice, 4 step-children, Rhonda Caplinger, Berry Morgan, Jason Morgan, and Kristina McArthur, his brothers, Leland (Peggy) Justice, David Justice, and Aubrey (Marian) Maye and his sisters, Laverne (Jimmy) Batchelor, Clara Barton, and Shirley Waller, and 27 grand- and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, AJ (Shorty) Justice & Juanita Justice.
Memorial Services will be held January 25th, 2025, at 1:00pm at Moose Lodge 455, 3834 Southside Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32216.
