William Robert Walentowski

August 4, 1957 – October 22, 2024
Obituary of William Robert Walentowski

William Robert Walentowski passed away on October 22, 2024. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 4, 1957. He was then raised approximately 25 miles across the state line Temperance, Michigan. During this time, he performed in Ida High School plays and community theatre, including playing the title role in "Hans Brinker or the Silver Skates" at the age of 16, followed by being inducted into the International Thespian Society and winning the "Best Apprentice" award.

In 1975, at the age of 17, he moved out West (California and Nevada) where he trained and worked professionally as a performer, joining SAG-AFTRA in 1984.

His other accomplishments include earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he graduated Magna Cum Laude (with greatest distinction) as well as working in the Information Technology (IT) field for several years.

Although he retired from the IT arena in 2019, he continued working in the entertainment industry as a self-employed, freelance SAG-AFTRA performer in film, television and commercial productions.

He is survived by his mother Glenna McKinley, father Stanley Walentowski, sister Barb Walentowski, and brothers Stan, Dave, and Tom Walentowski.

William's wishes were to be cremated and to have his ashes scattered in the Santa Barbara bay area. The scattering will take place at a later date.
