Looks like I am slow on this and I am very sad to hear of your passing. You were truly a fellow instructor that I always looked up to. Your wisdom and knowledge was truly exemplary and always shown thru your medical knowledge. Your ideals of always do what is right and go above the minimum care. You were truly the ITLS guru and we had a great team @ SJC central,   When someone would ask me what I thought should be done, I always referred back to my training, WWRD, what would Richard do. I never ever looked back on that theory and it lead to my success as an instructor.

Richard was one of my mentors when I started in EMS at North Channel. He drilled into me the lesson “Things are not always as reported. Be ready for anything”. He exemplified what it meant to be a professional EMT - Paramedic. Richard, your legacy lives on in all the students you taught. Rest easy Sir. Till we meet again.

Brother, you will be sorely missed. We met 40 years ago at Shell and you were always on the move, striving, improving, giving yourself to the community, work & others. Your friendship is forever in my heart. You were a man among men.
