It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth “Mike” Brady Sr. on Thursday, October 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Mike was the cherished son of Earl and Evelyn Brady and grew up in Westchester, CT. After completing his education, he pursued a career in the construction industry, working for several prominent companies before retiring from the Arborio Corporation.
Mike’s greatest pride and joy was the life he built with his beloved wife, Theresa Gawlak Brady, whom he married on March 26, 1956. Together, they shared a beautiful and fulfilling life, raising four sons: Kenneth Brady Jr. (Annie), Francis “Beaver” Brady (Kathy), Robert Brady (Jennifer), and Jeffrey Brady (Sandy).
He is survived by his treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life: Jen and Curtis Clark; Nick and Courtney Brady and their three children; Mandy Norman; Erin and Nick Colagiovanni and their two children; Lauren and Kurt Coleman and their two children; Audrey and Anthony Quintiliani; Michael and Kimberly Brady; Tyler, Justin, Matthew, and Stephen Brady. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Phyllis Pekari, as well as special family members Kathy Fisher, Judy Kachinsky, Julie Engel-Gudelski and Loretta Brady, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and aides from hospice who provided compassionate care to Mike during his final weeks.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no calling hours. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in East Hampton, CT, followed by a luncheon at Campagna’s Restaurant in Portland, CT, where friends and family can gather to celebrate Mike’s life and legacy.
Mike’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
