

He was born on March 24th, 1948 in Gorman, TX, and was raised in Burleson, TX where he graduated from Burleson High School in 1966.
He owned a Texaco station in Burleson on the corner of Renfro and Hwy 174 and eventually ran 3 service stations where he worked as a mechanic for his father Darnell Dial. In 1978 Rodger bought a shop between Burleson and Joshua which became Dial’s Muffler and Radiator shop where he enjoyed helping and joking with all who entered. In 1997, he sold the business and opened Dial’s Mini Storage and then retired in 2015.
He was actively involved in golf, travel, and many fishing trips while spoiling his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by their mother Ruby Dial and father Darnell Dial and 2 babies Keith and Audra Lynn.
He is survived by his former spouse, Tommie Dial, and their 2 children, Tammy Jackson and Heath Dial and wife Kim, 5 grandchildren, Monica, Tessa, Daniel, Jaxon, and Whitney, and his sister, Cindy DeGeer, and husband Tom.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Rodger’s Life at Rodger’s son, Heath Dial’s home in Burleson, TX on Saturday, March 25th at 5:30 pm.
