My deepest condolences Lauren and Michael.  Your father loved you both.   I am obsessively grateful for the last 37 years of friendship with Fred.  We met in odd circumstances many years ago.  Shared trips, living space, phone calls, laughter, books, celebrations, disappointments, and love, for all this time.  Our relationship had an ebb and flow that reflected our respect of each other.    He will remain in my heart until my last breath. I am appreciative of the last call he made to me... And truly understand (now) the meaning.  Fred was a foundation person in my life.  So much to say, yet nothing left unsaid.  He will be missed. Peace and love.
