

Paul David Rosanno, loving husband, father, poppy, and brother, passed away on February 23, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas due to complications of renal failure and artery disease. He was called home by the Lord at age 65 following a life of loving and inspiring others.
He was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, where he graduated from East Jefferson HS in 1973. He enlisted in the US Air Force and served at Scott AFB, IL (’74- ’79); Moody AFB, GA (’79- ’83); and Wiesbaden AFB, Germany (’83- ‘84). Among other military honors, he was awarded the Tactical Air Command Outstanding Contracting NCO of the Year in 1981. In 1983, he suffered renal failure and was medically retired from the military as a TSgt at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, where he received his first kidney transplant at Wilford Hall Medical Center in 1984. He graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1988, and began a career in Civil Service at Kelly AFB and Lackland AFB.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Judy Rosanno; daughters Christie Gates (Matt) and Jamie Tenorio (Eluterio); grandchildren Andrew and Ariana Tenorio, Ashley, Adyson and Aleyna Gates; brother Tony Rosanno; sister Kathy Adamiuk (Joao); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Anthony Rosanno and Charlotte Jones Rosanno.
A memorial service will be held at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1602 Thousand Oaks Dr., San Antonio, Texas 78232 on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 6:00 PM. A burial will follow at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, where Paul will be interred with military funeral honors. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Neptune Society.
