Jay Melvin Wolf

Jay Melvin Wolf of Ventura, CA transferred to heaven on December 26, 2021 at the age of 79. Jay was born May 22, 1942 in Sheboygan, WI to the late Melvin J. and Johanna G. Wolf. Jay married Judith A. Sturtz on October 19, 1960 in Waukon, Iowa. Jay, Judy and their son Doug moved to California in 1967. Jay was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church serving as trustee and elder. He was a journeyman tool and dye maker. Jay had many hobbies. He was an avid audio enthusiast who enjoyed collecting classical and jazz records, was an avid hunter (mainly in Africa), enjoyed rifle and bow target shooting, and loved motorcycle racing.

Jay survived by his wife of 61 years Judy, their son Douglas Jay of Redondo Beach, CA, Grandson Christopher (Michele) Wolf, Granddaughter Alicia (Kyle) Westerberg, and two great grandchildren Amelia Mae and Gunnar Victor.

There will be a memorial service held Saturday January 29th at 11a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church 6190 Telephone Rd. Ventura, CA.
