
Wendell Lee Crow, 89, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026. A devoted husband, father, Marine, and community supporter, Wendell lived a life marked by service, loyalty, and quiet strength.
A proud former U.S. Marine, Wendell carried the values of honor and discipline throughout his life. After his military service, he spent 30 years as a driver for Consolidated Freightways, where he was known for his reliability, work ethic, and steady presence.
Wendell was a longtime member of the NRA and the American Legion. He was also a loyal supporter of Boys Town and the Virginia Beach Police, reflecting his lifelong commitment to community and service.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Elva Jane Crow; his children Connie Danahy, Michael Crow, and Michelle Crow; and many extended family members and friends who will carry his memory forward. Wendell was preceded in death by his son, Larry Crow.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date at Thalia Lynn Baptist Church, 4392 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
